The Refresh function (called 'Reset' in old Firefox variations) can fix many problems by fixing Firefox to its factory default condition while preserving your bookmarks, history, security passwords, cookies, and some other essential information.
It's really way simpler than all these answers.Go to preferencesclick on the search taband switch the search engine to Google.that's all it takes.
Note:When you use this feature, you will lose any extensions, toolbar customizations, and some choices.Observe the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article for even more information.
To Refresh Firefox:
- Open up the Troubleshooting Information page using one of these methods:
- Click the menus key , click help and selectTroubleshooting Information. A brand-new tab formulated with your troubleshooting details should open.
- If you're unable to gain access to the Assist menu, kindabout:supportin your address pub to provide up the Troubleshooting Info page.
- At the top right corner of the page, you should see a switch that states 'Refresh Firefox' ('Reset Firefox' in old Firefox variations). Click on it.
- Firefox will close up. After the refresh process is finished, Firefox will show a windowpane with the info that is imported.
- Click Finish and Firefox will reopen.
